MY CREATIONS HAVE A NATURAL FEEL

Why favour French manufacturing?

French manufacturing, a preferred origin

Today, the choice of «made in France» is almost akin to a 'made in France'. commitment policy. Above all, it reflects a desire to give priority to local, ecological production that respects people.

Shorter distances

By choosing to use materials at the local, We're doing the planet a favour. Firstly, it helps to reduce our carbon footprint. The climate change we are witnessing is generated by greenhouse gases. These are caused by the production of waste and the journeys made between factories and delivery points. Globalisation has enabled people to travel the world and products to circulate, but it has also led to an increase in the transport of goods.
The independent «made in France» federation has shown that importing these products over a distance of 8,000km results in CO2 emissions of more than 58 % compared with French manufacture. The choice of raw materials is therefore crucial. In France, we are fortunate to benefit from great diversity and recognised expertise, particularly in the textile industry. We are the world's leading producer of flax and Europe's leading producer of hemp. Growing these two plants requires very little energy, no pesticides and very little water - all the more reason to embrace them.

Recycled products

Reusing objects, or sometimes re-purposing them for new creations, is a way of promoting ecology and avoiding waste. Instead of throwing things away, it's better to transform them to create something new.
This is the case for lampshade that I offer. Some structures are given a second life. Others are new but recyclable.

economy, an argument in favour of "made in france" lampshades"

Choosing «made in France» means making a commitment to the French economy. European agreements on the free movement of products and goods have allowed products from all over the world to arrive at the expense of our local products. As a result, French industries have been relocated abroad. By favouring local businesses, you are giving your neighbours a helping hand.
Buying products made in France means helping an entire design chain. From raw materials to sales, jobs are created.
are at stake.
Our companies have unique expertise!
By promoting and supporting them, we are safeguarding these jobs.
The short circuits also have the advantage of being places where people can meet and forge links. The seller is near you, listening to you. There's no better form of advertising than word-of-mouth. It encourages the development of local businesses, creates jobs and boosts the economy.

Consuming «made in France» becomes essential!

Made in France guarantees

Products with the «made in France» label are a guarantee of quality.
There is no procedure for applying for this label. In the event of an inspection, however, it must be proved that a significant part of the product was made in France. Buying a product abroad and selling it in France does not give you the opportunity to use this label, which guarantees the quality of the products produced.
There are many French standards: AFNOR, NF, etc. The added value is real! It involves very strict specifications. It concerns the quality and origin of raw materials,
manufacturing processes and the durability of the finished product. Thanks to these high standards, French know-how is recognised the world over.
Traceability of French origin ensures quality and solidity
articles.
The regulations also affect working conditions.
French workers are subject to the Labour Code, and so are their employers. Many countries do not apply these rules, child labour is not regulated, hours are not counted, wages are extremely low and working conditions are often unacceptable. Buying a product made under these conditions also means supporting this system.
Of course, the price is lower, but let's not accept for others what we object to for ourselves and our loved ones.
Craftsmanship and «hand-made» products are a guarantee of quality, with manufacturing processes that do not allow industrial quantities to be produced. Their practice focuses on know-how that guarantees the value of what is offered.
For all these reasons, I have chosen to use French raw materials and to make my products by hand in Bayonne,
